The Belgrade forests of Istanbul (in Turkish:

(Belgrad Ormanı) is one of the largest and most famous parks in the city of Istanbul and is considered a natural reserve for the diversity of its trees, plants and animals. These forests are about 20 km from the center of Istanbul.

Belgrade’s forests in Istanbul occupy large natural areas estimated at more than 5300 hectares and is an integrated nature reserve, which includes a lot of plants and trees up to nearly 2000 species in addition to various animals.

These forests are a great source of water and an outlet for the city of Istanbul, because it contains seven water lakes where the remains of ancient dams still exist in the forest, which dates back to the Ottoman era.
